How to Lose Belly Weight - Using Conjugated Linoleic Acid Method

I must agree at some point that losing belly fat has never been easy;I went through a lot in my bid to lose weight and cut down on the stomach fat at the same time. I can't remember how I queried google for "tips on how to lose belly fat" and every other related term almost on a daily basis. The annoying thing was that I once had six packs back then in school when I stuck to crunches every morning and eating less fatty foods. The inception of stomach fat around my waist gave my a lot of concern and I needed to lose weight. I was doing a little research one of those days and found an interesting piece of article stressing the use of Conjugated Linolic Acid as a good way of cutting down belly fat to a reasonable extent. I really wanted to know what this weight loss process entails and to what extent it would help me lose belly fat in two weeks as I needed to look in shape for our end of the year party coming up there after.

Now you might be asking what is conjugated linoleic acid and how can it help me get rid of belly fat? CLA links to a family of plenty isomers of linoleic acid which originate mainly in dairy products and meat. I hope that is not much to understand? Or are you thinking of what isomers are? In time past, scientists in Sweden have given out information about patients taking CLA lose fat, particularly belly fat or abdominal fat. CLA is a special type of fatty acid and can be obtained in the United States withour prescription. I was further intimated that in 2001 a trial was carried out, people who were taking about 4 grams of CLA on a daily basis shed almost 4% of their body fat and cut down their tummy fat over 12 weeks (3 months) with no other dietary or exercise changes. Now don't say 3 months is too far; cutting down on fat takes time and it depends on your dedication and if you have read the last lines clearly it states without any exercise; it could well be lesser with exercise. Now back to CLA; another study in 2004 also revealed that CLA might slightly decrease body fat without changing body mass index. It was also concluded that no side effects were recorded by the use of conjugated linoleic acid. Results for CLA were also positive in three clinical studies with few adverse effects according to Creighton University Medical Hospital.

I know you are probable thinking a 4% reduction of fat is not reasonable but come to think about it, hey! You dropped some flesh and it's imperative for your health. According to Doctors at laval University, Quebec - specialist in abdominal fat study, 5% to 10% reduction in belly fat can trim down the risk of diabetes and heart disease by as much as 60%.

While Conjugated Linoleic Acid mayn not entirely be presented as a total cure for belly fat all by itself, it is undoubtedly one way to target belly fat loss. I strongly believe that if you combine it with the next information I am going to supply you about belly fat then you would be sure to shed considerable amount of fat.

Stevia: Sweetest of the Sweetest Sweeteners, and Healthy Too!

For me stevia is the saving grace for all of us sweet-cravers as it contains zero calories, is totally alkaline, and has a plethora of healthful properties way beyond its ability to dulcify our foods and beverages!

Coming from the chrysanthemum family, stevia grows wild in Paraguay and Brazil and is also cultivated in Japan, China, Mexico, California, and Southern England.  Used since pre-Columbian times to sweeten the native tea called mate, the Italian traveler Antonio Bertoni wrote about it much later in 1887 as the sweetener used by many native South American tribes.

Thirty times sweeter than sugar, stevia contains sweet glycosides that are not metabolized by the body, which means they won’t add extra calories.  Despite its highly sweet taste, in its unadulterated form stevia doesn’t adversely affect blood glucose levels and can even be used by diabetics and hypoglycemics!  Additionally, stevia actually helps to normalize blood sugar levels.  It will also lower blood pressure if you have this condition while not affecting normal levels if you don’t.   Here are some other health attributes of stevia:

·      Functions as a tonic to the entire body
·      Increases energy
·      Increases mental acuity
·      Inhibits the growth and reproduction of specific types of bacteria and other infections organisms
·      Helps prevent tooth decay, gum disease, and oral health in general (add to toothpaste or dilute with water for mouthwash)
·      Helps prevent the onset of colds and flu
·      Helps with weight management and loss
·      Reduces cravings for sweets and fatty foods (can be taken before meals to reduce hunger)
·      Helps restore lost hunger if obstructions in the hypothalamus and stomach exist
·      Improves digestion
·      Improves gastrointestinal function
·      Helps reduce cigarette and alcohol cravings

Stevia, Skin, and Hair
Stevia is also effective in maintaining healthy skin and hair.  It can be used as a facial mask by smoothing a paste made of the powder or crushed leaves and water over the skin and letting it dry for a half an hour or so.  Rinse it off and you will feel how it has tightened and softened the skin, smoothing out wrinkles and healing blemishes.  You can also place a few drops of stevia concentrate directly on a blemish, sore, cut, or scratch and impressive healing will occur.  Stevia is sometimes added to organic soaps and shampoos as it helps to eliminate dandruff and sooth scalp problems, making hair more lustrous.  You can add it yourself to your favorite shampoo.

An Abundance of Nutrients
The stevia leaf contains an abundance of nutrients such as proteins, fiber, carbohydrates, iron, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, zinc, rutin, vitamin A, vitamin C and an oil that contains a host of other healthful elements.

Buying Stevia
Stevia, like most things, can be of poor or high quality.  The poorer the quality of the leaves, the more bitter it will taste.  A high quality manufacturer will make sure that stevia’s processing is minimal and done with consciousness.  In this regard it will taste slightly licorice-y.  I buy my stevia from a top-notch health food store in powder form.  It is a beautiful green and tastes divine and you only need a very tiny amount as a little goes a very long way!

Stevia comes in tea bags, as a loose tea, in ground form, in tablets, or as a liquid concentrate.  Quality will depend on soil conditions, the amount of irrigation and sunlight, purity of the environment, farming and harvesting practices, processing, and storage.  Make sure you buy the most reputable brand to get the most out of the product.

Stevia and Cooking
Stevia doesn’t break down in heat like honey or artificial sweeteners do.  This means you can cook and bake with it and be sure that you are getting all the nutritional components you need.

The FDA vs. Scientific Research
Though the FDA has listed stevia as an unapproved food additive, it is allowed as a food supplement, but not as a sweetener.  That being said, researcher and physician Dr. Daniel Mowrey has said vis a vis his extensive research on the pros and possible cons of stevia:

"More elaborate safety tests were performed by the Japanese during their evaluation of stevia as a possible sweetening agent. Few substances have ever yielded such consistently negative results in toxicity trials as have stevia. Almost every toxicity test imaginable has been performed on stevia extract [concentrate] or stevioside at one time or another. The results are always negative. No abnormalities in weight change, food intake, cell or membrane characteristics, enzyme and substrate utilization, or chromosome characteristics. No cancer, no birth defects, no acute and no chronic untoward effects. Nothing."

So there you have it!

I say, let’s break the sugar addiction by turning to Stevia, the sweetest of the sweet, getting healthier in the process!

P90X2 Reviews... Coming Soon!

Well we all knew it was bound to happen sooner or later. A new "version 2.0" of the ultra-popular P90X home workout program is due to be released soon. Beachbody's new P90X2 program is already getting talked about online like it's the next great fitness product and, not surprisingly, we're already getting emails from people asking for P90X2 reviews! :)

Unfortunately, as was the case with Insanity Asylum a few months back, it's damn near impossible to review a product before it's actually been released. And no, we haven't had the good fortune of being sent a "preview" copy of any of the P90X2 workout videos. In fact, as far as we know, the product isn't even finished yet. Truly helpful, in-depth reviews from real users won't be available until at least a couple of weeks after P90X2 has been released. Rumors are that the release date will be sometime in late summer or early fall of 2011.

What we do know is that this program, like it's big brother, was created by Tony Horton and with the help of a relatively well-known sports science expert named Dr. Marcus Elliott. It promises to help you burn even more fat, get even more "ripped," and build even more strength than the original. (We wonder if Beachbody will continue to sell the original P90X if the new one is so much better!)

One of the main focuses with the new program, at least according to the Beachbody people, appears to be on increased intensity and improved efficiency. In other words, better (or at least equally-as-good) fat-burning, muscle-building results in less time. P90X2 involves only 5 workouts per week instead of P90X's 6 weekly workouts.

According to the P90X2 website, the new program will feature improved "muscle confusion" with more exercise combinations and complexes and a "less is more" strategy that focuses more on exercise intensity over exercise volume. It involves 3 phases: Foundation, Strength, and Performance. Dr. Elliott's input -- which is said to be based on the "latest research in applied science" --  supposedly results in a program that can help everyone, from long-distance runners to professional athletes.

As is always the case with Beachbody products, the marketing hype is laid on pretty thick. So it's tough to tell right now just how good or unique the new P90X2 program really is. But we think it will be better than P90X (and it's 6-days-per-week, burnout-inducing, injury-provoking workout schedule!). And one thing's for sure: there will be a BIG push to make sure the P90X2 product matches the blockbuster success of the original... so get ready for those slick late-night infomercials!

Gluten-Free Diet For Celiac Sufferers: Suffer No More!

Here’s a very interesting statistic: one out of every 133 people in the United States has celiac disease! This amounts to about 2 million people, and probably more! Celiac disease is very difficult to diagnose because the symptoms can be very similar to other physical problems like irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal infections, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which means that many people have celiac disease and don’t realize it, thinking that their discomfort is symptomatic of something else.

What is Celiac Disease?
Celiac disease is when the body is unable to tolerate gluten, a substance that is found in many, many foods and in fact is often hidden in other everyday products like vitamins, lip balms, and medications. Gluten is a common protein in wheat, rye, and barley, which usually form a general part of our daily diets.

Gluten intolerance causes interference with absorption of nutrients in the small intestine. Gluten intolerance or celiac disease creates a signal for the immune system to destroy what is called the “villi,” tiny hair-like elements lining the small intestine that help pass nutrients through the walls of the small intestine into the bloodstream. When the villi are destroyed, we can’t get the essential elements we need to stay healthy, no matter how much food we consume.

Celiac disease often is genetic, but it can also be triggered by strong conditions that occur in the body like viral infections, severe emotional stress, surgery, pregnancy and childbirth, and the like.

Symptoms of Gluten Intolerance
Gluten intolerance can affect people differently. Here is a list of some symptoms that can show up:
• Abdominal bloating
• Abdominal pain
• Chronic diarrhea
• Constipation
• Vomiting
• Weight loss
• Bad smelling bowel movements
• Pale and fatty bowel movements
• Fatigue
• Iron deficiency anemia
• Irritability, depression, anxiety, mood swings
• Bone and/or joint pain
• Bone loss or osteoporosis
• Arthritis
• Tingling numbness in the hands and feet
• Seizures
• Missed menstrual periods
• Infertility or recurring miscarriages
• Canker sores inside the mouth
• Itchy skin, rashes, dermatitis

Discovering Glucose Intolerance
Celiac disease is often found in people who have Down or Turner Syndrome as well as those with Type 1 diabetes, autoimmune thyroid disease, autoimmune liver disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and Addison’s disease. It is important to be tested if you seem to have any of the chronic symptoms listed above as ignoring celiac disease can lead to malnutrition and eventually to more serious conditions that are harder to treat.

You can find out if you have celiac disease through being tested for high levels of TGA (transglutaminase antibodies) or EMA (anti-endomysium antibodies). If you have celiac disease, these antibodies will be present, preventing the absorption of essential nutrients from the foods you eat.

Treating Celiac Disease Easily
If you have celiac disease, you need to eat a gluten-free diet, which is not hard to do with just a little research and a change of habit. A gluten-free diet is also essential if you have a wheat allergy, which many people have without realizing it.

Foods to Avoid
There are several foods containing gluten that are obvious and easy to pick out. They include:

• Wheat
• Rye
• Barley
• Spelt
• Wheat germ
• Wheat bran
• White flour
• Graham flour
• Semolina
• Farina

But gluten creeps in to many other foods, especially processed goods where it is not so evident. For this reason you have to READ THE LABELS to familiarize yourself with those products that contain hidden sources of gluten.

Here is a partial list of other foods to avoid:

• Modified food starch
• Preservatives and stabilizers made with wheat
• Corn and rice products made in factories that also manufacture wheat products (contamination by proxy!)
• Bouillon cubes
• Brown rice syrup
• Candy
• Chips
• Wafers
• Matzo
• Rice mixes

• Cold cuts and other processed foods
• Sauces
• Cheese spreads
• Commercially packaged soups
• Self basting turkey

These days products for celiacs are labeled “gluten free.” Health food stores are a good source as they provide many more options for packaged goods if you don’t have the time to make your recipes from scratch.

Acceptable Foods for Celiacs
There is actually an enormous range of food you can eat if you suffer from celiac disease. The best choice is always fresh, unprocessed foods that include fresh, organic fruits and vegetables that help to cleanse and detoxify the body while adding easily digested anti-oxidants, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Dried fruit is also a good option. Organic meats and poultry and wild (not farmed) fish will provide you with essential protein, with fish giving you doses of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids so necessary for immune and brain function.

Here is a short list of some other foods that work well for those with gluten intolerance:

• Potato
• Rice (including rice noodles to replace wheat or semolina pasta)
• Quinoa
• Soy
• Amaranth
• Buckwheat
• Teff (and all flours made with the above)
• Arrowroot
• Yeast
• Bicarbonate of soda
• Any gluten-free bread or pasta
• Nuts
• Flax seeds
• Eggs
• Yoghurt
• Dried beans
• Peas
• Pulses
• Organic oats
• Cider and cider vinegar
• Wine vinegar
• Distilled Vinegar
• Vegetable oils such as sunflower and olive
• Honey
• Molasses

Alcohol and Celiac Disease
Gluten-free beer is becoming more available in the marketplace. This is made from sorghum, millet, rice, or buckwheat, which are all tolerable to those with gluten intolerance. Again, read your labels carefully, as most beer is made with barley, which contains “hordein.” Hordein is very similar to a substance found in wheat and can cause the same negative reaction for those with gluten intolerance. Most gluten-free beer should have a label saying so. Wine is also another perfectly good option for enjoying your candlelight gluten-free dinners!

The Healthiest Diet
Once you get used to a gluten-free diet, you’ll find that it is actually one of the healthiest ways to eat. You will have eliminated all processed foods as well as wheat and will find that your energy levels will soar as your immune system strengthens. Keep your meals balanced with carbohydrates, protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals and you will have no problems with digestion or nutrient absorption.

By reading labels carefully and buying only Gluten Free products, you can eliminate negative symptoms and get your system back on track again.

Simplest Way To Lose Belly Fat With Nutritional Plan

Losing belly fat may be for aesthetic reason such as eliminating the muffin top hanging over their jeans or to look great inside a swimsuit. Natural News published "The Risks of Excess Belly Fat" in November of 2008. It cites a German study that found people who have high waist-to-hip ratios or waist circumferences increase their risk of the early death. Excess stomach fat and other lifestyle habits like smoking, physical inactivity and diet increase heart disease, diabetes, stroke and blood pressure level risks and dementia. A nutritional plan to get rid of stomach fat decreases girth and health risks.

Here are the instructions :

1. Consume Omega-3 Fatty Acids

One of the primary components of a nutritional plan to lose stomach fat is eating foods containing omega-3 fatty acids. These essential fatty acids slim waistlines and lower heart disease risks. Natural News says that researchers found that seafood full of omega-3 essential fatty acids prevents weight gain and poor health. Omega-3 rich foods include salmon, tuna, flaxseeds, walnuts, soybeans, halibut, shrimp, tofu, scallops, and snapper, collard greens, Brussels sprouts and kale.

2. Eat Seeds and Nuts

Nuts and seeds contain lots of fat and calories, however they could be a part of a proper belly fat shrinking nutrition plan when eaten as snacks or on salads. Nuts and seeds are rich in fiber and protein and contain monounsaturated fats, good, filling fats. The Flat Belly Diet, developed by "Prevention" magazine editors, says monounsaturated fat nuts include almonds, Brazil nuts, dry-roasted cashews and peanuts, dry-roasted seeds, hazelnuts, pecans, pine nuts, macadamia, pumpkin seeds, and walnuts. Nut butters that do not contain additives fit into the nuts and seeds category. A serving of those healthy seeds and nuts equals two tablespoons a treadmill handful.

3. Eat Avocados

Avocados, a food containing monounsaturated fat, could be a part of a nutritional plan to get rid of stomach fat. Regenerative Nutrition website says that avocados, though full of fat, speed up basal metabolic rates, fill an individual up and lower overeating, decrease the desire for saturated fats and sugary foods, and contain vitamins and minerals that promote overall health. Avocado can be replacement for mayonnaise on sandwiches and hamburgers or perhaps in salads.

4. Munch on Dark Chocolate

Some sugary treats ought to be avoided on a nutritional plan to lose stomach fat, dark chocolate helps reduce fat and manage weight. The Cleveland Clinic Miller Family Heart and Vascular Institute says chocolates contains flavonoids, a naturally-occurring, plant-based compound that can help people maintain weight and protects their hearts. Individuals who can't stand the bitter taste of dark chocolate can dip it in antioxidant-rich fruits like strawberries.

5. Eat Fruits and Vegetables

Eating fruits and vegetables are part of all nutritional plans, including intends to lose stomach fat. The Belly Fat diet lists some fat-burning produce items, including apples, baby carrots, baby spinach, bananas, blueberries, garlic, onion, grape tomatoes, green beans, strawberries, sun-dried tomatoes, sweet corn kernels, pineapple juice and vegetable proteins like refried beans and veggie burgers. Healthy salads made from fruits and vegetables can be drizzled with olive oil or balsamic vinegar.

Belly Fat Diet

There are various ways to lose belly fat and the belly fat diet is what we would talk about this morning. I was talking to a friend yesterday and she said "did you chew onions?" I answered yes I did, she said she noticed from my breath. Well I was supposed to brush my tooth after chewing a bulb of onions but the door bell rang and there she was standing; I guess it oozed from my breath. This morning I would be discussing with you on some of the spices and fruits that is imperative if you want to burn belly fat. There has been a whole lot of questions about how to loose belly fat and what diet can one go on in order to burn belly fat. Apart from regular workouts to lose belly fat, we should also concentrate of the food we take into our system because they also contribute to building up fat in the body and hence expanding our stomach leaving a large chunk of fat below the stomach region.

I would be discussing 3 fruits and 3 spices that aid in reducing body fat and hence stomach fat. I took my time to do an indebt research and study and I discovered that some of the fruits and vegetables that we disregard or are misinformed about can actually help us live longer and possibly add an extra 5 – 20 years to our life if we form the habit of eating them. They also help in losing belly fat.

Here are the first 3 spices under consideration that can help burn fat

1. Garlic: Enhances Blood Flow and Burns LDL Cholesterol In Blood Vessels!

For ages, Garlic has been one of the most sought after spice used in medicine. Study has shown that Garlic is known to contain a compound called “Allicin”. This is a powerful anti-oxidant which helps to protect the body from damage resulting from the movement of free radicals produced from the acidic environment of the body caused by the decomposition of unhealthy processed food in our body.

Another study from University of Alabama at Birmingham by Gloria Benavides, also shows that eating of Garlic, helps in the increase in blood flow and relaxes the blood vessels, thus reducing the risk of a heart disease, this is made possible because of the release of a compound called Hydrogen sulphide. Research evidence has shown that Garlic is the only spice that can provide Hydrogen Sulphide in our diets unlike other plants which are processed as drugs.

In my own case, I regularly buy grinded garlic in bottles and add it to nearly all my meals especially when cooking my Turkey or Chicken or Fish. If you are not eating Garlic, add it to your menu from your next meal.

1. Onions: This is an incredible food and spice. I recommend it should be taken everyday if you can.

Before making my discoveries about onions, I love eating onions with nearly all my foods especially sliced raw onions on my rice. Some time ago, I came across a study that took a survey of a large number of people who have lived over 100 years from several countries, one of the most interesting and common comments coming from the participants is that each of them ate a lot of onions during their lifetime.

Further more, I read about the nutritional value of onions, I was made to understand that onions (and Garlic) contain some unique and powerful anti-oxidant that are uncommon in other foods. These constituents help in very impressive reduction in cancer. Onions also help in protection against cardiovascular diseases, stomach ulcer or cancer, and reduction of tumors growing in the body amongst several other curative benefits.
Now my question is this; What would life be like without onions? In eating onions, it will be good if you can eat it raw the way I do, and add it in your salads, vegetables, early morning fried eggs, and in your lunch as well as your supper. If you are serious about ways to burn belly fat you can stick to this belly fat diet.

3. Ginger: Known to increase metabolic rate and promote circulation of energy.

Ginger has been used for over a period of 2500 years by the Chinese herbalists for medicinal purposes and for flavouring foods.
In fact because Ginger has so many health benefits as a spice, it has been said by some people to be the plant taken directly from the Garden of Eden in Bible times. One of the beliefs of many people who travel a lot and have used Ginger while traveling by air is that, it prevents motion sickness and can be added to nearly all food recipe.
Below are some of the health benefits of eating Ginger;

•Stimulation of blood circulation
•Relaxes the blood vessels
•It is an anti-clotting agent
•It protects the body from fungus attack
•It prevents Inflammation in the body
•It has antiseptic properties
•It is anti-bacterial in nature
•It can be used as an analgesic
•Minimizes respiratory, colds, and allergies symptoms
•Prevents nausea, digestive problems and Arthritis.
With all the listed benefits of Ginger, it is becoming one of the world’s most sought after recipe for producing drugs for treating many maladies.

Now let’s move on to the 3 fruits that are very healthy and fat burning and that you can also eat as much as you want without any guilt whatsoever that you will gain fat while eating them.

Bananas

Banana is my special, I so love it, I could consume a whole basket.lol. I simply can’t get enough of it, especially when I take it with Groundnuts. It is so filling that after eating this fruit meal, I don’t feel like eating any real or cooked food. However, some people have a different view about banana as a fattener? The question thus is can ripe banana make you fat?

Well, here is my answer. The simple truth is, there is no fruit eaten in its natural form that is going to help you gain fat when taken in its raw form. You are free to eat Bananas to your heart’s desire without any guilt feeling because it’s natural and very healthy.

Here are few reasons why Bananas are not fattening;

•Banana is never stored in your body as fat because it digest easily.
•No fruit in its natural state is fattening, ripe or unripe.
•Bananas generally take about 45 minutes to digest while other fruits take 15 minutes, that explains why people who eat banana say they feel heavy, but you are okay after 45 minutes.
•If you take a breakfast of bananas and other fruits, you will notice a drastic change in weight loss in one week.
•Bananas are rich in minerals like potassium, zinc and vitamin A, Vitamin C, and these components don’t make people fat, but healthy.
•Bananas are detoxifiers because it is a source of fiber and helps in constipation, hence it helps in losing weight and not in gaining fat.

For best results, it is best to eat Bananas on empty stomach and it is pertinent you follow this each time you consume your banana because of the following reason. It takes 45 minutes for Bananas to digest, Cooked food take about 3 hours, therefore when you take Banana with cooked food, it will take the same 3 hours for the Banana to digest because it is taken the same time with the real food.
So it is always better to wait 45 minutes after eating Banana before you can eat any other cooked food. That way, you will never experience any weight gain.

Watermelon

Watermelon, a fruit drink I can’t simply do without. I enjoy it when very cold and refrigerated. Now let me put your mind at ease, Watermelon is very good for you and doesn’t make one fat. I call Watermelon a fruit drink because it is a fruit rich in water content (about 90% water). Apart from the nutritious water content, it is very rich in Vitamin A and C. It also provides energy to the body in the form of natural fructose. Fructose in plants are non fattening. And above all watermelon washes away toxins in the body, a good detoxifier.
Now, I want you to know one fact, Watermelon has very high calories.
You may wonder, but doesn’t food that has high calorie make one fat? The answer is a capital NO!
The thing is, calories have nothing to do with weight gain, that is why you should not count calorie when eating. In fact, I call counting calorie the foolishness of modern day misinformed dietitian. Your focus should be at looking at food types, but not calories in food.
Here is the criteria to gauge any food that is fattening.
•Is the food processed? (bakery, soft drinks, snacks)
•Is the food cooked with vegetable oil? (Fried food is a no go area)
•Is the food non vegetarian? (high fat content, low fiber)
•Is the food boiled? (less toxic but still healthy)
All fruits and raw foods are healthy and are non fattening.

Mangoes

Mangoes are also healthy and good. Mangoes according to studies have 28g carbohydrates per serving and 3g dietary fiber and 24g natural sugar.
Here is the nutrition analysis of mangoes from a study I came across online. Mangoes gets its sweetness from carbohydrate contents and there are several varieties of mangoes all of which are healthy. Mango does not have any significant effect in increase blood sugar levels, so it does not promote fat storage and due to the medium glycemic index, mangoes are okay for diabetics.
So, does eating mangoes promote fat gain? No, mangoes do not promote weight gain. What can promote weight gain are sugar loaded processed mango drinks. To recap, you can start using the 3 spices and the 3 fruits mentioned in this long article as part of the diet you need to confidently lose weight without any guilt feeling when consuming them.

Lipozene Is Still Around??

I couldn't believe my eyes but I just saw a late-night TV ad for Lipozene weight loss pills. WOW! This crap has been on the market since 2005/2006 and I remember very clearly all the marketing BS that surrounded it when it first came out. But I hadn't seen an ad for it in a couple of years. Given the fact that it's basically just an over-priced, over-hyped fiber supplement I assumed they'd stopped making it...

Guess I was wrong!!

How can a product with such bad reviews stick around for so long? Are people really that desperate to lose weight that they would buy something with such a bad reputation? I certainly understand the desire for truly easy weight loss results but there are so many products out there that are so much better than Lipozene!

If you want a truly effective (and cheap) fiber supplement that will fill you up, reduce hunger, control blood sugar levels, and help you lose weight faster/easier try WellBetX PGX. It has the same appetite-suppressing glucomannan/konjac fiber as Lipozene without the high price and marketing BS surrounding it. I can tell you from personal experience that PGX is a real hunger-killer.

OR... just eat a simple diet based around large amounts of unprocessed plants foods -- including veggies, fresh fruits, beans, legumes, nuts, and seeds -- and enjoy TONS of healthy, easy weight loss benefits... :D

Do you have a Lipozene review, complaint, or observation? Want to try to convince me it's really not a scam/rip-off like I think it is? Leave your comments below!

Belly Fat Exercises - Fastest Way To Loose Belly Fat

You are on this page because you have belly fat, you don't like the protrusion on your front part when you put on that nice clothe of yours. Nobody is proud of excessive fat in the belly and I know you want to get rid of belly fat. There are various ways to burn belly fat and these ways include exercises and belly fat diet that help burn reduce fa;t but I would be focusing more on exercises to loose belly fat. There are lots of belly fat exercises that is helpful in cutting down the fat on the stomach region. What I am about to discuss with you is not based on other people's story, it is based on my own personal experience in a bid to cut down the fat in my stomach. Believe me when I say it works, it really works.

One morning I stepped into the office and a female colleague of mine kept staring. I asked her why she looked at me like that and she said "dude your stomach is bulging," well, I tried not to get embarrassed but I was, I got home that day and stood in front of the mirror staring at my bulging stomach for 20 minutes. Really I must confessed I looked awful with that belly fat. I needed to get my game back and so I started researching for exercises to lose belly fat, I got some pretty good workouts to lose belly fat. I started engaging myself with these workouts to lose belly fat. I know this my be hard for you to believe but in one week's time, the stomach went in, revealing my packs but there was still elements of fat. These workouts had worked tremendously to help me reduce the belly fat. I cannot say how happy I am as I go to the pool to swim, I no longer feel ashamed of revealing my body.

These exercises I must confess requires discipline else you might work out for a few days and give up. These workouts to burn belly fat make you feel pains at the lower part of your stomach at first but as time goes on your system would adapt to it, the aim of the exercises is to tone and tighten your abdominal and core muscles. When these muscles are toned they are firmer and look thinner. You can start by doing little rounds and then gradually increase it. The following exercises can help you lose belly fat fast.

The Bicycle Maneuver

The first time I did this, I felt like my waist was pulling off, the muscles were stiffed and I could feel every bit of it like around my stomach lines or something. I did 50 rounds at a stretch; I am not saying you should go 50 but if you can it really helps. This exercise is such that you lay down on a mat, your knees stay 45 degrees and then your hands behind your neck. You push up yourself tilting and touching your right elbow to your left knee and your left elbow to your right knee. Make sure you do not hold your breathe while you do this; ensure you breath evenly.

Sit Up From The Couch
This exercise is done in such a way that you have the lower side of your body on your catch e.g from your hips down is on the couch, the the upper part of your body should be suspended such that you can go up and down in the normal sit up positing. I started doing 10 rounds of this and then I increased to twenty. This kind of exercise makes the lower muscles firmer based on my personal experience.

The other kind of sit up involves you placing your legs under the couch and have a firm grip of your feet and then you start by raising the upper part of your body to meet your knee. Really it was tiring but because I knew what I wanted I kept on with this and I am glad I did.

Cardio Exercise
Cardio exercises were really helpful to me in my quest for burning off belly fat. Infact of all the workouts I think this one was the most effective. By cardio exercise I mean cardiovascular which has something to do with the heart. I am sure I am right, at least I did a little biology. Cardio exercises help raise your heart rate and keeps it elevated for a period of time; that is exactly what these exercises did for me.The kinds of exercise that are associated with cardiovascular workouts are things like jogging, fast walking, and swimming where there is no break in the routine. I tried my best to do one of the exercises everyday, in the event where I have to take a cab, I walk, I stopped using the elevator at work, I swam during the weekends etc. I learnt there are many benefits of cardio exercises and they include:

  1. Strengthening of the heart
  2. Strengthening the lungs and increasing lung capacity
  3. Boosting of the metabolism, burns calories, and helping you lose weight
  4. Reduce stress
  5. Increases energy
  6. Promoting restful sleep
You can look up more benefits of cardio exercises. Basically those are the few exercises I adhered to and to a large extent I was able to cut down belly fat. The young lady at work saw me and said "your stomach is gone down, what did you do?" I looked at her and said "it costs $1000". Remember loosing belly fat is all about consistency in the applied approach.

Getting rid of belly fat has been a major concern and source of worry because of the shapeless form and void it gives to your physique. So many people out there feel very uncomfortable with their bulging stomachs and are seeking ways to cut down belly fat. Imagine yourself at the swimming pool and this guy comes into the pool with a body carved like that of a gladiator or a Greek god or something, revealing his well ripped 6 packs abs and well structured stomach and you are just there in the pool with your BIG ONE PACK, how do you feel? Excess fat especially in the belly does you no good and makes you look unattractive and clumsy. There is need to cut down belly fat but it starts with self discipline and proper dieting and proper excercising. A consistent approach should be applied in order to lose belly fat.

There are so many "how to lose belly fat" products out there that claim to help you cut down belly fat especially the ones that claim you can cut belly fat in one week or two weeks. I am not saying these do not work but in order for you to get rid of belly fat you have to ask your self this big question. Why do I have belly fat? Belly fat can be attributed to a number of things like eating late at nights - Have you ever observed the shape of your stomach when you wake up in the morning after having supper at about 11pm the previous day? It bulges just below; this is the accumulation of undigested food at the lower part of your abdomen; that leads to belly fat. Another cause of belly fat is eating excess of fatty and junk foods; these foods have the tendency to increase cholesterol level in your body making you put on more weight and obese especially in your stomach region. Take a look at the obese people around you, do they have flat stomach? Or six pack? You can't imagine that I guess. You need to watch what you eat my friend.

There are so many ways to lose belly fat. If you practice these tips to loose belly fat and stick to it then be sure to have that belly fat well toned maybe into a six hard pack.

Tip 1:Discipline yourself/Eat Right - Avoid taking fatty foods and eating late at night as I have observed that this has a way of increasing belly fat. I used to be a late night eater after coming back late from work and I observed my stomach was going out of shape. I stopped eating late, you can also make your food digest immediaely by taking fruits like oranges and taking pawpaw. Also avoid taking junks as this does you no good. These days, doctors are constantly warning about the health dangers of belly fat as people are diagnosed with high cholesterol levels emanating from eating junk foods and other unhealthy eating habits

Tips 2: Regular Exercise - Exercising is imperative as it helps to cut down belly fat to the barest minimum. Excercising includes taking a walk to work depends on the distance 2000 steps a day is good for the body, use the stairs when you get to your office instead of the elevator; believe me it helps a lot I guarantee, you can get yourself a skipping rope or a bicycle. Cycling helps cut down excess fat in the body and hence belly fat, aha swimming that's my regular.

Tip 3: Steer Cleer of Alcohol/Smoking - Regular intake of alcohol eg beer would make your stomach increase in size. I can attest to this fact as I have been a victim, I stood infront oh my mirror one morning and I hated myself, my belly fat had increased drastically and I seemed like I have to big ball in front of me. Aaarrgh you don't want to look like that do you? Alcohol and cigarrette smoking are know to increase the stress hormone known as cortisol in your body.

In order to get rid of belly fat you need to discipline yourself by taking appropriate diet and doing the appropriate excercises continuously. You might not get immediate response but the more you apply these the more belly fat you burn and the sexier you become. I hope this helps. Until next time.

The Fastest SIMPLE Way to Lose Weight

Looking for a really simple way to lose weight fast? The tips below are 100% proven to help just about anyone burn fat, lose pounds, and tone up very quickly... all without complicated diets, extreme workout routines, or expensive weight loss supplements.

When used in combination these tips represent one of the best and simplest methods for safely shedding weight fast...

1. Eat a simple, unprocessed diet

For the next few weeks, eat only meats, vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans, legumes, and some fruit. Eat little or no starch (grains, potatoes, etc.). Eat absolutely NO refined sugars, refined flours, or other processed carbohydrates. Drink LOTS of water, up to a gallon per day if you can!

2. Fill yourself up.

Starving yourself of food, calories, and fat simply doesn't work. A much better option is to eat several meals and snacks throughout the day, focusing on eating LOTS of lean proteins, vegetables, and beans with some fresh fruit and healthy fats/oils. You won't be hungry because the protein, fiber, and "clean" carbs will fill you up incredibly well. You'll have lots of energy yet you'll still be able to lose weight rapidly.

3. Do simple workouts based around "big" exercises.

Do several workouts per week that focus on "big" compound strength training exercises like squats, pull-ups, push-ups, dips, deadlifts, burpees, etc. Use either bodyweight exercises, weights, or (the best option) a combination of the two. Keep your workouts to about 30 minutes in length, focusing on intensity and quality over exercise volume. Do a few minutes (10 or less) of higher-intensity cardio at the end of the workouts (or mixed in throughout) to really jack up your body's metabolism and fat-burning mechanisms.

4. Go play.

At least 2 or 3 times a week get outside and do one or more of the following for about an hour: ride a bike, swim, hike, run, row, or play a higher-intensity sport (like basketball, tennis, soccer, etc.). This will allow you to melt off more pounds without even realizing because, ideally, you should be having fun!

5. Take recovery supplements.

Every day take a high-quality multi-vitamin and drink at least 2 whey protein-based shakes. Also consider taking a good omega 3 supplement, especially if you don't eat a lot of oily fish. This will help your body recovery more quickly from tough workouts. It'll also ensure that you're getting all the essential nutrients you need to maximize fat loss and help minimize the loss of vital lean muscle tissue!

That's it. Eat a simple diet based around natural foods. Fill yourself up with protein and high-fiber carb foods. Do simple strength-based workouts based around compound exercises and small bouts of intense cardio. Get outdoors and play a couple times per week. And take a few relatively inexpensive supplements that help you recover faster, optimize your metabolism, and protect sexy lean muscle.

Give this simple plan a try and I promise you'll lose a lot of weight within the next 2-6 weeks. You'll also feel good and have more energy!
